Women empowerment means making women strong enough to do whatever they want or choose to do. Gone are the days when men were the only ones who could decide what happened. Women had no rights and they were treated like they didn’t exist. Now, women are starting to fight back against this and claim their power. This is called women empowerment.
There is no doubt that women have been treated unfairly in the past. They were not allowed to make decisions for themselves, but things have been changing. Women empowerment has made women aware of their rights and how they must make their own place in society. In the future, we will see more of these changes happen. The west is still making progress, but countries like India are not as far ahead as America and other countries in terms of Women Empowerment.
Need for Women Empowerment in India
In India, women need to be empowered. There are many reasons for this. one of them is, many women in India are at risk of honor killings from their family if they bring shame to them and their reputation. In some parts of the country, men still dominate over women and expect them to work all day long while they go out to work themselves. Now, it is the high time to let them contribute equally to develop the nation contributing to GDP and Per Capita Income of our country. They must be given responsibilities to shoulder and confidence to step out of their homes to do wonders.
How to Empower Women?
There are many ways to empower women. The government and people should work together to make this happen. Girls need to be educated so they can get jobs. Women should have the same opportunities as men, no matter whichever field they are in. We can help women by stopping them from getting married before they are old enough. We also need to teach them skills so they can take care of themselves if they have a financial crisis.
Women empowerment will help all the women who come forward and understand their rights. They will be more educated and know about laws that they might not have known before. In this way, these women will be empowered and live safer than ever.
