Summary of The Book That Saved the Earth

The story ‘Book That Saved the Earth’ is a science fiction that revolves around the Martian attempt of invasion on the earth. For which, their team members are sent to the Earth under the supervision of Think Tank.

Think Tank has a big head which makes him believe that he has the best acumen among all. They want to know about the earthlings for which they all are present in a Centerville Library that is full of books. But, on the contrary, they fail to understand the place and the books which are kept there for reading.The story ‘Book That Saved the Earth’ is a science fiction that revolves around the Martian attempt of invasion on the earth. For which, their team members are sent to the Earth under the supervision of Think Tank, who considers himself the smartest of all the martians, for a secret mission but all goes in vain due to a book. All of them have strange names like Think Tank, Noodle, Oops, Captain Omega, Lieutenant Iota etc.

In his first impression, the Think Tank thinks that the books kept there are sandwiches. In order to confirm, one of the crew members takes a bite of it but does not like the taste. As per noodle, Think Tank’s personal assistant, one of their team members, it is not a sandwich but a medium of communication used by the earthlings. So the drama begins all the Martians start opening the books one by one and all jump to different conclusions. On the other hand, Oops tries to figure out the literal as well as figurative meaning of the nursery rhymes but all in vain.

Oops finds a same creature like Think Tank by the name of Humpty Dumpty in one of the nursery rhymes which scares all of them. Therefore, Think Tank draws and interference of being identified by earthlings, calls his entire team and suggests them to leave the Earth as soon as possible for they have collected enough information. Besides, he is feared of being killed by the earthlings. So he leaves the earth with his team of Martians and postpones the plan of invasion. In this way, the earth is saved by one of the books.
